We are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights and our procedures regarding returns, refunds, replacements, and warranties.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002 ("ECTA"), and any other applicable legislation.


1. Cooling-Off Period (Online Orders)

In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), customers who purchase products online may cancel their order within 7 calendar days after receiving the goods.

To qualify:

  • The product must be unused.
  • The product must be in its original packaging.
  • All accessories, manuals, charging cables and included items must be returned.
  • The product must be returned in a resalable condition.

The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the product unless otherwise required by law.

CloudCycle reserves the right to deduct the direct costs incurred in restoring returned goods if the product has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.


2. Hygiene Products

For hygiene and health protection reasons, our wearable heating pads come into direct contact with the body.

Unless the product is defective or supplied incorrectly, we cannot accept returns where:

  • the product has been used;
  • protective seals have been removed (where applicable);
  • the product shows signs of wear;
  • the product has been damaged due to misuse.

This restriction complies with South African consumer legislation relating to hygiene-sensitive products.


3. Defective Products

If your product is defective, unsafe, or fails to perform as reasonably expected under normal use, you are protected under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act.

Within 6 months of delivery, you may choose one of the following remedies:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund

CloudCycle reserves the right to inspect the product before approving any remedy to confirm that the defect is covered under the CPA.


4. What Is Not Considered a Manufacturing Defect

The following are not considered manufacturing defects:

  • Damage caused by dropping the product
  • Water or liquid damage
  • Fire damage
  • Damage caused by using an incorrect charger
  • Normal cosmetic wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse or abuse
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Damage caused by failure to follow the user manual
  • Battery degradation resulting from normal use

5. Incorrect Orders

If you receive:

  • the wrong product;
  • an incomplete order; or
  • a damaged parcel on arrival,

please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

Where applicable, CloudCycle will arrange collection and replacement at no cost to the customer.


6. Damaged During Shipping

If your parcel arrives damaged:

  • photograph the parcel before opening;
  • photograph all packaging;
  • photograph the product.

Please send these images to us within 48 hours.

Failure to report shipping damage within this period may affect our ability to claim against the courier.


7. Return Conditions

Products returned must include:

  • Original packaging
  • USB charging cable
  • User manual
  • All accessories
  • Proof of purchase
  • Order number

Products returned incomplete may incur deductions where permitted by law.


8. Return Shipping

Where the customer changes their mind or exercises the ECTA cooling-off right:

  • the customer is responsible for return courier costs.

Where the return is due to:

  • a manufacturing defect;
  • incorrect item supplied;
  • damaged on delivery;

CloudCycle will cover reasonable return shipping costs.


9. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed using the original payment method.

Please allow:

  • 5–10 business days

after the returned product has been inspected.

Shipping fees are generally non-refundable unless required by South African law.


10. Warranty

This product includes the statutory 6-month implied warranty provided by the Consumer Protection Act.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects only.

The warranty does not cover:

  • accidental damage;
  • cosmetic damage;
  • misuse;
  • abuse;
  • water damage;
  • unauthorized modifications.

11. Product Safety

Our heating pad is intended for comfort and relaxation.

It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

Always follow the included safety instructions.

Stop use immediately if discomfort, burns or irritation occur.

Do not return products without receiving return authorization from CloudCycle.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.


13. Inspection

All returned products undergo inspection.

CloudCycle reserves the right to refuse returns that:

  • do not meet this policy;
  • have been intentionally damaged;
  • have been altered;
  • contain missing components.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights provided under the Consumer Protection Act.
